Aaron Tam is a graduate of the Masters of Journalism program at the University of British Columbia with a specialization in Asian Studies.

Before his graduate studies, he worked as a general photojournalist in 2009 for Thompson Reuters where hundreds of his photographs were published in publications all over the world.  He has also worked as a photojournalist with the Hong Kong Economic Times in 2007 where he covered a wide variety of events ranging from politics to fashion and photographed the likes of Hong Kong’s Chief Executive Donald Tsang and actor Daniel Wu.  You can view a selection of his photographic works on Flickr.

Aaron has also worked as a reporter for the Globe and Mail in Vancouver.

Aside from photography and news writing, he has worked as a videographer for InsiderMedicine, a medical news agency based in Kingston, Ontario where he interviewed leading doctors in medicine and surgery in Hong Kong.  An example of his video work can be seen here.

Aaron is a 2008 graduate of Film & Media at Queen’s University.
